Don Heights Unitarian Congregation. 10th Annual Inga
Jarrett Memorial Concert. The theme of the concert is
“Joie de Vivre.” Program: Beethoven’s “Waldstein.”
Chopin’s Waltz, Op.18, and Mazurkas, Op. 33 & 63. Mark
Richards will premiere two compositions. The first is
“The Green Oasis” of poet Bliss Carman, presented at
this concert in honour of Earth Day. The second is
“Chopin Reflected.” A Haydn “Andante” (arranged for
piano & cello). Mozart’s “Non piu andrai.” – “no more
gallivanting!” Donezetti’s “Bella siccome un angelo,”
– “lovely as an angel.” Eka Shanshiashvili, piano &
music director. Mark Richards, piano & music director.
Peter Cosbey, cello. Andrew Novosky, piano; Nathaniel
Wiseman, baritone. The venue is Jubilee United, 40
Underhill, east of the DVP and north of Lawrence. Don
Heights office is 416-444-1856. Tickets are $20
(students $10). Please stay for the reception to
follow. This is the grand finale of this series of 10
annual concerts. |
