VANCOUVER -- As people arrived at the Bayshore Hotel Saturday night to hear Al Gore speak, they had to pass a small group of placard-toting protesters trying to be heard above the din of a driving rain.

TRANSITIONS: Rev. Cheryl Jack Retires from the UU Congregation of Durham
 
In honour of Rev. Cheryl Jack’s 10 years of ministry to the UU Congregation of Durham, a party was held on June 24.   In keeping with her love of pelicans Cheryl was presented with the UUCD "Order of the Pelican" which symbolizes caring, hope, perseverance, grace and good humour.   It was presented by Norah Love.
