After April 20, rooms reserved for the CUC are released and the on-line booking form is disabled. However, accommodation may be available at UBC. Mention the “CUC” to get our rates. It also ensures the CUC will not lose its deposit due to the number of rooms booked.

The conference will be held at the University of British Columbia with key venues being SUB (Student Union Building) and Gage Towers.

Comfortable hotel suites in our 4 storey low-rise building. All units with kitchenette, private washroom, telephone, television, and daily housekeeping service. High speed internet is available.
 

Studio Suites — Single occupancy; bed/sitting area with twin bed - $79 night

Single Rooms in Shared Apartment

Gage Standard Single - $37/night (room in 6-room apartment with shared bathroom/kitchen/lounge)

Gage Premium Single - $49/night (room in 4-room apartment with shared bathroom/kitchen/lounge)

We have reserved 40 rooms each

 

Gage View Apartment Suite - $179

 

Configuration: 6 single private rooms attached to a shared bathroom, kitchen and living area

include fridge; microwave and dishes and cooking utensils.

We have reserved 20 suites.


Place Vanier (Residences)
We have reserved: 38 single rooms and 6 twin rooms
Configuration: single room with hallway bathroom shared by approximately 24 people on each floor. Limited twin rooms on each floor also available.
Rate: $22/person/night

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Most of the conference will occur in the Student Union Building with exhibits in the concourse area.

CUC Friends Breakfast and the International Lunch will be in Sage Bistro.

We have the First Nations House of Learning Longhouse booked for Saturday afternoon and evening.

Sunday banquet will be outdoors of the Museum of Anthropology and will include admission to the galleries.

And..  Sunday worship will be in the beautiful Chan Centre – You’re all invited!

LOCATION

About the Location

The University of British Columbia is located at the western most point of the city of Vancouver and is surrounded on three sides by beautiful beaches that sit on the Pacific Ocean.  The campus is separated from the City of Vancouver by Endowment Lands but has excellent public transportation service with single bus service to just about anywhere in the city.
