Young Adults, Unite!
I'm getting more and more excited about the ACM. A mysterious vibe
tells me it's going to be something special, something fresh.
Coming from what seems like a near-void of presence in the UU
community, I feel we are now riding a wave of
monumental potential. We are reaching mass awareness on the issue
of a young adult gap and with the express support of both the CUC
and the UUA I am convinced that this ACM and the next are going to
help bring young adults together - and into the community - more
than ever before.
Beyond the workshops, lectures, coffeehouse, and worships, we
young adults finally have a golden opportunity to take our game to
the next level. What do you want? How would you like to be
involved? Let’s get together!
I hope as many young adults as possible follow this momentum to
the ACM and get connected with the others. Young adults, you’ve
got a vast selection of fun and engaging activities, and you can
join me in hatching a really shakin' Soulful Sundown! Got a funky
idea for a theme? Got some mad skills you’re itchin’ to let
loose? Wondering what it's all about?
Email me at feeltheharmony@yahoo.ca and I'll sign you up to our
yahoogroup.
Also, if you want, I can send you the Diversity Survey. It's an
easy way to tell a bit about you and share your vision of a young
adult future. And you'll be part of a cross-Canada survey, so
you’ll eventually get to see who others are and what they think.
Come on - everybody’s doin’ it!
