Be Sure to Visit our 2008 ACM Exhibits
A variety of organizations
and individuals set up displays at the Annual Conference and Meeting to
disseminate information or to offer merchandise for sale. Groups which have
strong ties with Unitarian Universalism, such as the UU-UNO office have
exhibited in past years but groups concerned with social justice, and
education, as well as the functions of the CUC itself may also be represented.
Merchandise often has a UU
theme, for example colorful shirts, jackets and fashion jewelry featuring a
chalice or CUC maple leaf logo. Handicrafts, especially those from developing
countries, typically include woven and knitted fabrics, pottery and leather
goods. You will be sure to find something for everyone on your gift list!
Do you love to read?
Stimulating books and information brochures covering spiritual issues, the
dynamics of congregational life, and broader social issues are found here too.
The exhibit area is close to
the meeting rooms where ACM workshops will be held. It is open from Friday
evening to Monday morning, although some exhibitors may choose not to display
for all of that time. Simple tables 6ft. x 3 ft. are provided for a rental fee
of $100. For small exhibits, half of a table top may be rented for $50.
Invitations are being sent to people and organizations that have exhibited at
past conferences and we welcome enquiries from others. Write to Arthur Palmer,
Exhibits Coordinator at exhibits@cuc.ca.
More detailed information will be sent to all who express
interest in exhibiting.
Remember to leave enough
room in your luggage for all your purchases!
