Post-Conference Activities

Explore Ottawa: Come Early – Stay Late. Guide yourself tour: Would you like to see the city of Ottawa on your own time, at your own pace? Algonquin College is a short bus ride away from the downtown core and a plethora of museums, shopping centres, tourist attractions and green spaces. The  Meeting Place - Rendezvous 2008 will have kits available with information and maps for a small fee.  City bus tickets will be available for purchase. 
Gatineau Park Tour: Enjoy a guided tour and hike through the Gatineau Park, including a stop at the Mackenzie King Estate, only minutes away from Algonquin College and the downtown core. The hike will be of a leisurely pace, suitable for all ages but does require some stair climbing.  This tour will take place post ACM on Monday afternoon.
Tour of Rideau Hall: Come to the home of the Governor General on Sussex Drive.  This is a guided tour of the home and the award winning grounds.
